Konstfack Degree Exhibition 2014 / Vårutställning 2014
In my degree project I have combined my great interest in music with my interest in typography and font design that was sparked during my time at Graphic Design & Illustration at Konstfack. I feel that there may be interesting connections between music, graphic design and typography. In my degree project I have used a limited range of musical instruments as inspiration, and created a new font based on their shapes. These are instruments that I think many would recognize and their shapes are widely copied in other instruments.
Jag har i mitt examensarbete kombinerat mitt stora intresse musik med mitt intresse för typografi och typsnittsdesign som väckts under min tid på Grafisk Design & Illustration på Konstfack. Jag upplever att det kan finnas intressanta kopplingar mellan musik och grafisk design och typografi. I mitt examensprojekt har jag använt mig av en begränsad uppsättning musikinstrument som källa för inspiration och utifrån deras former skapat ett typsnitt. Det är instrument jag tror många känner igen och det är former som vida kopierats till andra instrument.
