My final project is inspired by an interest in the ways the body can be modified, influenced and controlled, and by the desire to reach further. Further than oneself, further than what is in existence, further than just being human. To express identity, distinctiveness, through the body in a time when individualism is praised and boundaries are purposely overstepped makes it harder to lay claim to a unique self.
PARTS is based on the use of exterior attributes to create alteration for the purpose of self-realization.

Mitt examensarbete inspireras av ett intresse av att modifiera, påverka och kontrollera kroppen samt viljan att bli något mer. Mer än sig själv; mer än det befintliga; mer än bara människa. Att ge uttryck för identitet, egenart, med kroppen som medel i en tid som hyllar individualism och när allt fler vågar ta ut svängarna och det på många sätt är svårt att vara just egen.
PARTS utgår ifrån användandet av yttre attribut för att skapa förändring i syfte att förverkliga sig själv.
